Asbestos: Exposure to the Carcinogenic Risk

Talc is a natural, soft mineral – the base content of talcum powder. The material has also been the core component of baby powder, cosmetics, and personal care products. Talc contains asbestos, which has already been associated with several types of cancers. Cancer victims who had used the talc powder-based products might have breathed in or swallowed asbestos without knowledge. The asbestos fibers entangle the healthy tissues in the body and damage them, where the cells mutate and turn cancerous. The product has been primarily linked with diseases like lung cancer, ovarian cancer, mesothelioma, and other life-threatening diseases.
